How Bot Shield works
Every visit to a short link passes through Bot Shield before the redirect happens. Each request is scored on a range of signals — known bot user agents, VPN and datacenter IP ranges, request rate and reputation. Requests that cross your configured threshold are blocked and logged, while genuine visitors are redirected in milliseconds.
Because filtering happens before analytics are recorded, your click counts reflect real people — not scrapers or crawlers. You can review every blocked request and tune the threshold from the Shield dashboard.

How are clicks counted?
Only verified visits are counted. Bots, VPNs and datacenter traffic are filtered out by Bot Shield before analytics are recorded.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — links are served from your own domain with custom back-halves, so every link stays on-brand.
